Thanks to Lake Michigan, this area enjoys warmer temperatures than much of the Upper Peninsula. Just down Highway 2, a boardwalk goes along the shoreline for almost 2 miles. The boardwalk offers beautiful views of Lake Michigan, a fishing pier, picnic areas and access to the East Breakwater Light. Manistique is a very friendly town, with antique shops and stores to visit.
